As one of the oldest and most important band, MFÖ, has a really important place in Turkish pop music history. After the meeting of Mazhar Alanson and Fuat Güner in 1966, they released an album called "Türküz Türkü Çagiririz" in 1971 and in same year with the attendance of Özkan Ugur, their 40 years of togetherness has begun. On mid 70's they broadcasted the first video of Turkey with the song "Heyecanli çok Heyecanliyim" as Ipucu 5.
MFÖ made its first peak in 1984 with the album "Ele Güne Karsi". The song has the same name with the album has been chosen the song of the year. After that, the albums that they released as follows; “Peki Peki Anladik” (1985), “Vak The Rock” (1986), “No Problem” (1987), “Best of MFÖ” (1989), “Geldiler” (1990), “Agannaga” (1992) and “Dönmem Yolundan” (1992) and in 1995 “M.V.A.B” with its rock sound. MFÖ also presented Turkey two times, 1985 and 1988, in Eurovision song contest. Besides their works as MFÖ, the band members kept continuing their solo careers in many areas, such as, cinema, theater advertisements, TV series.
Their collection album was released in September, 2003 and their brand new album "AGU" was released at the beginning of 2006.
